Multi-unit buildings with boiler heat

Many older apartment buildings and multiplexes in Missoula and around Western Montana run on one central boiler. When it works, nobody notices. When one pump, zone valve or control fails, every unit can go cold at once. A pre-winter service on a shared system typically covers combustion and venting, safety controls like the high-limit, low-water cutoff and relief valve, system pressure and the expansion tank, every circulator and zone valve, trapped air, and any indirect water heater serving the building. The best time to plan heating and cooling is before the slab is poured and the walls are closed. We install complete heating and cooling systems in new commercial and residential construction, including boilers with radiant floor heat, indirect water heaters, heat pumps and AC.
